Let’s put all player (and hopefully not coach) movement talk here.
I’ll start, Justin Gray left WCU this morning to take the HC job at Coastal Carolina. So one regional job gets filled but one opens at the same time.
William and Mary fired their HC this morning.
Let the coaching carousel begin….

Any chance that Luther would be offered the HC Position/stay at GW if Craft does move on? Luther has been responsible for a lot of the quality players we have had. Just hoping for some continuity in the basketball program without a complete rebuild.

If they both leave, first call should be to Mike Netti up in Columbus, who will likely be looking for employment soon.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is the time Tim decides to make a move. I don't have any insight at all into Craft's thinking personally, but I do know there is a great deal of dissatisfaction with the environment working for the current administration (AD and President). Maybe that tips the scales in favor of leaving this time. Hope not, but I see it as way more likely than in past years.
Just tossing a crazy idea out there, fully acknowledging it's a long, long, looooong shot:
There's a former Runnin' Bulldog HC who very well may:
- Be burned out on the P5 pace of life - Hate the idea of being an assistant coach, even at a Power 5 - Not need the big paycheck after a massive Big Ten buyout (plus years of an Ohio State salary) - Want to recharge while dominating the mid-major scene - Be unfazed by any pressure the AD/President could possibly put on him, given what he just dealt with for years
Just saying, if Craft leaves, I'm 100% giving Chris Holtmann a call to see if there's an avenue there.

The way Craft has been treated by Downs and the cheap tire man after playing a top 30 non con schedule this season will sour a lot of good possible candidates on GW. We’ll have to settle like the football hire, look for some D2 or D3 that has had some success and wants to move up no matter what.
Craft is one of the best people at GW and a great representative of the school. Downs treated him just like a bunch of faculty and staff that wised up and left his tyranny. It’s a damned shame.
And I got an email about Double Dawg Day coming up. Laughable. Any alum that donates right now with this bully tyrant in charge might as well flush their money right down the commode.

HPU 1 seed in a 15 team CBI tournament, PC 12th. I assume UNCA, GW, and WU all said no.

About the only transfer out we’ve had that has done well. He absolutely balled out at UTM the last two seasons. Hope he gets a shot at a power six:

has anyone seen any of our own enter the portal? I havent. Another indicator that Luther is going to be the guy at HC. I wonder what the delay is.
