I have a feeling the dawgs are going to shock alot of people in 2015. That Maxwell kid is going to be something special he has alot of talent that has not been desplayed in the limeted time he played also alot of that recruiting class from last year has a lot of talent Im looking for some big things from the offence this year and with the returning starter on dfence the d should still be outstanding too. I say they better watch out them running dawgs are going to be bitting this year.

Okay some quick thoughts. 1.If you're posting about a player, try not to show obvious bias (max dawg 12 and you're talking about Maxwell; nice. Are you him or a parent?) 2. At least try to form correct sentences... or at least spell correctly!

We'll be better, our defense can carry us while we get the qb situation fixed. However, the goal is to close the gap between us and CCU and LU. We still need to commit resources to helping our players train properly and stay healthier. Until we do that, the gap won't close no matter how well McCray does in game prep, etc.

I predict a 5-6 record. There are a lot of unhappy campers on the football team right now. I don't see us getting better on the field until things get better in the football building. It is still a game and kids want to have fun. Doesn't matter what level you play at - you have to enjoy what you are doing or it just isn't worth it.

GWU staff has known this was coming for a couple of months. Players were told around the time of the Spring Game. I suspect the administration knew before the second semester began and if they had let the players know, the players might have had an opportunity to take their talents where they could have actually been used for the 2015 season. It's hard to believe that the people that hired Coach Dickerson still have a job at GWU.
You can go to the NCAA's website and see the other schools that lost football playoff privileges for next year and this is not the kind of company that GWU wants to be seen in. Tremendous setback for this program that started because GWU wasn't willing to step up and hire a decent coach when they had the opportunity. Further blame has to be shared by an administration that allowed athletes with subpar academics to enroll at GWU.
Best wishes to Coach McCray and his staff (those who decide to stay) because this is not their fault. Recruiting for GWU football just became a monumental task. Shame on GWU for bragging about 10 good programs in their news release today. Good luck to the kids that remain on the team.

Umm no part of it falls on the players for not taking care of business in the classroom

Sure some of it falls on players. But it's not a referendum on the current team who is paying the price. As it read in the story, the young men playing for coach mccray have gotten it done in the classroom.

Not a peep on gwusports.com yet about this, even though the Shelby Star had an article with Upchuck being quoted in it.
Time to nut up and take the good with the bad.
