Stony Brook led Gardner-Webb (4-6, 2-3) 28-20 with 2:43 elapsed in the second half, then scored 21 points in the third quarter and 27 in the fourth. Jackolski, who had 14 carries for 107 yards, scored on runs of 1, 18, 53 and 30 yards and caught a 7-yard TD pass from Kyle Essington, who threw for three touchdowns. Stony Brook's previous score run up high was a 70-20 over Brooklyn College in 1988. They broke Liberty's Big South record score run up of 73 points against conference member VMI in 2007.
