A sobering article is in Easter Sunday's Winston Salem Journal by App State AD Doug Gillin. He speaks to Budget issues and and potential effects on the school programs. There are examples of draconian measures that are already being made by App and other large schools. He refers to travel limitations, future scheduling, coach salary cuts, honoring scholarships, constructions, elimination of certain athletic programs, etc. Scarily these are the large schools he is speaking about. So what will this mean for already budget challenged schools like GWU? This article is certainly worth the read.

Downs wants summer session two to start on time with in-person classes, which is scheduled to start two short days after Fuhrer Cooper supposedly lets phase two expire after five weeks. I hope it happens.
