How about some picks?
Wednesday: HPU over CSU (Panthers outscore them, too much offense) CU over PC (I actually want to take PC here, something tells me they will come ready to play)
Friday: UNCA over HPU (look out UNCA, HPU has fire power, early start could mean slow start) GW over Upstate (we find a way, defense wins it for us) LW over CU (shouldn't be that close, LW physical guard play wins out) WU over RU (another low seed upset, WU can score and their lack of depth doesn't factor in)
Saturday: UNCA over GW (another semifinal exit, UNCA is stronger and flat out better) WU over LW (yes WU lacks depth, but LW is cocky and arrogant, they get some humility crammed down their throat here)
Sunday: UNCA over WU (lack of depth catches up with WU, UNCA wins somewhat easily)

CSU shoots 48% from the foul line, 29% from 3, but holds HPU without a field goal for the last 5:49 of the game and wins 72-70 after trailing by 10 at halftime.

CU escapes in the nightcap 68-63. PC went up 53-52 with 7:28 left, then went 6 minutes without a FG. PC also only shot 41% from the FT line. Free throws mean more in tournament play, hopefully our guys remember that fact Friday.

Well that sucked. Complete choke job at the end of the game no other way to put it.
Well, now we see if Reid and Selden come back or if we’re looking at a full rebuild. If it’s rebuild, it might be the time for Craft to move up the coaching ladder if he wants to do so.
A key off-season now begins, one of the more important in recent program history..

CU with the huge upset of 2 seed Longwood 81-68, after trailing by 6 at halftime. They held LW without a FG for a near 9 minute stretch in the second half.

RU eliminates WU 78-69. WU shot 54% from the line and 26% from 3, like they took a page out of our playbook.
WU led 2-0 and never led again. Nearly a wire to wire and impressive win for RU.
So UNCA/Upstate and RU/CU semifinals. Guarantees if UNCA doesn’t win the BSC rep will be playing in Dayton.

UNCA escapes Upstate 66-62 thanks to some help from the zebras. Pender didn’t get his first foul until under two minutes left in the game against CSU, quite obvious they’ve been told to protect the 1 seed.

UNCA was down 14 with 7:30 left and rallied to win 77-73, showing why they were the best team in the league all season.
UNCA also saved the Big South an embarrassing scenario if CU had won the title, since they are leaving for the CAA next season.
Hopefully it wakes up our ladies tonight to not lollygag around and come out with focus and fire from the opening tip. UNCA played the first 30 minutes in a fog. Let’s not do that here in a bit.
