Is there anything more weak than an anonymous complaint / petition? If you want to call for someones job put your name to the thing other wise you're a coward. Woah, woah. Easy there. Anyone who posts on this place, myself included, can’t be calling out people for being anonymous cowards. Lots of anonymous calls for people’s jobs on here historically. I do agree that it’s a pointless exercise for whoever the petitioner is. Is it greater than ever on campus? Nah. Is it terrible? Also nah. It’s a good place.

We should count our blessings. Not throwing shade at anyone, but I had to reach out to Johnson C. Smith for a story I'm doing and they have one person in the entire SI department. It could be worse.

GW has only one SID currently. Full time at least. Full time broadcast guy, part time broadcast guy and an SID. Tough to do anything with so much going on at once.

Is work study still a thing (showing my age)? If so, can’t they get some sports management majors to do some grunt work down in the south part of campus?

They absolutely should cut academic programs that don’t attract students, or retain them. Not just classes. Cull the entire departments. Replace those academic programs with better fits for growth. There are several anchor programs on campus that are literally dead weight. The other presidential finalist/favorite in 2019 who is now president at Tarleton State mentioned similar plans on his interview. He didn’t get the job. Surprising. Point being, It’s not a one off idea. Pruning is necessary.

Some of these programs should have been dropped 15 years ago...
