Frankly, even though the conference was crazy this year, I don't see the tournament having much non-chalk. LW beating HPU the way they did yesterday in a tight emotional game where the HPU coach got tossed I fear will cause HPU to refocus and basically buzzsaw through the field to a 14/15 seed in the dance.
Play In: RU over Upstate - three headed guard play for RU the difference
Quarterfinals: HPU over RU - HPU on a mission and at home, RU shoots well enough to keep it close for awhile, but HPU pulls away in last ten minutes LW over WU - LW playing well, should have beat us, and have enough to beat WU in a physical brew ha ha UNCA over CSU - likely the blowout of the day, UNCA wants a chance to dance again GW over PC - Calvinists are always predestined to lose, this will be no different, but close throughout.
Semifinals: HPU over LW - revenge for Saturday and HPU focused on the prize, blowout city 20+. UNCA over GW - we'll battle to the end, but our FT shooting does us in and beating a team like UNCA three times in a season proves too much, might even be OT, then we get to watch the coaching carousel, Downs not firing Craft necessarily but him wanting to can him midseason causes Craft to shop, see what regional openings take place or if Holtmann needs help on a new staff at Louisville or elsewhere and double or triple his salary in the process
Final: HPU over UNCA - frankly I could see this not being all that close either, I'm buying a refocused HPU to show why they're the best in the league this year all three days.
