Game one of the Dickerson Era is finally upon us. Time to start getting ready for gameday festivities. I have heard that the construction crew may be moving the boundary fence back a bit to reflect what actually needs to be fenced. We still should be able to set up tents and Kenny's grill in the old spot. I'm not sure what I'll be bringing just yet, but it will be good! I'll be looking to arrive around lunchtime and look forward to seeing fellow Bulldog fans as the boys get ready to hit someone other than themselves.
I would love to see the media guide and the up-to-date two deep roster for the team. Hopefully, that will be posted in the next day or two.

Great buzz around campus, which is great. Team moral is at an all-time high too. Media guide will be released and up for viewing sometime Tuesday. Game notes on Wednesday. Changes on game day that I'm aware of at this point will include starting lineup on the video board (Monday Night Football style) and an intro video that will change up every week. There are some other smaller things that will be noticeable as well during the game to help build excitement. The new head coach wants to emphasize fun in the stadium on gamedays. Here's a spot from the Shelby Star this morning: www.shelbystar.com/sports/opener-57953-season-springs.htmlThe one guy everyone seems most excited about is Chandler Browning. A department staffer I trust went so far as to say he's worked harder to improve himself over the past year than any player he can remember.

Rundog, you will find us underneath the oak trees behind the visitors side of the football field. This is a construction area so we are not exactly sure how this is going to work. But we will have the grill and tents and tables set up for all who join us. No need to be fancy. We look forward to meeting you on Saturday.

We'll be there noon time as well. We're planning on bringing dry rubbed tenderloin w/ yeast rolls and a honey mustard sauce, grilled kielbasa w/ peppers/onions and other fixings, chips, pops and a sweet thing or two. See everyone there, let's get it started.

Me and my crew will be there! We are bringing the famous "buffalo chicken dip", ribs, cut up fruit and some chicken to throw on Kenny's grill. Also, bringing some "Tornados" that we can tear into before our boys take care of business. Looking forward to seeing all of you there.

Bad news for a good local crowd......huge rivalry high school game....Shelby at Crest, right down the road from G-W, pushed back from tonight to Saturday night at 7 due to weather. Knowing the thin-skinned crowd that runs WGWG, they'll probably honor their contract with Crest to carry the game as well, and forget about our teams. They've done it before when mens hoops plays on Fridays.

I never know how big the local crowd is 94. I hope Coach Dickerson and the boys see a bunch of folks in the stands tomorrow night. Should be fun to watch.
