For the "Under the Tree Gang" [we should probably come up with a better name - might be a good topic of discussion for Saturday's game]. I'm trying to figure out what time we are planning to arrive for the 6:30 game and see if we have confirmed that the lot will be open. EagleDawg, we talked about sharing the cost of some BBQ. Just let me know how much I owe. Nobody bring any potato chips. We already have enough for all of Winston-Salem. Looking forward too seeing everyone on Saturday. Go Runnin' Bulldogs!

ElCid83 - Looking to obtain around 14 lbs of Q, half Eastern Style and half Lexington Style along with the buns, slaw and some cupcakes for Ms. Nancy's Birthday along with a pop or two or three. We'll bring the assortment of chips that we have been so fortunate to transport from G-Dubb to Winston-Salem, Winston-Salem to Athens, OH and back to Winston-Salem with a few extra bags added for each leg of the journey. I'll try to make some contacts with Wake Forest folks tomorrow to check on the time that the lot opens. I'm pretty certain we want to target the General Parking Lot south of the stadium, across from the Baseball Park and east of the Coliseum Annex (i.e. Fairgrounds Lot). I''ll post tomorrow evening with the update. Looking forward to Saturday, looks like the weather will feel almost football like by game time with temps in the lower 60's to upper 50's. Wake's O-line is large, their young QB talented and elusive but their D-line is a bit small but very athletic. The LB's are all Marty Patterson size or larger. Speaking of Marty I'm looking forward to seein him back on the field. Wonder if he'll start or be subbed/rotated in. Nice pic their too ElCid although I wouild love a pancake photo if you ever get the chance.

elcid and eagledawg, I haven't been on in quite a while, but finally home on the regular. I was heading to the game this weekend with my brother-in-law that graduated from Wake, but family issues have forced us to abandon the trip. I have a parking map that shows all the areas that you can park around the stadium in the city. If you PM me your emails, I would be happy to send it to you. Have fun, and maybe I'll see you guys at Homecoming.

Ok - I emailed the WFU SI guy and he shared the following concerning when the parking lots open. That parking lots for games beginning after 3:30 pm open 8 hrs before kick-off so that should mean that we can get in around 10:30 a.m. for those of us who like to get there early. General Parking around the Lawrence Joel Coliseum is $8 per space and you can secure additional spaces for parking for a tailgate. We'll need a few extra for Bulldog Dads grill rig and unless we get there first thing we may need a few extra spots for our taiilgate canopies. I would like to caravan in as a small group for those who are interested to secure our spots in a single area. ElCid83, Bulldog Dad and others, if you're interested either give me a call or pm me. We can arrange for a place to meet to caravan in once we all get to W-S and close to the Football Stadium. The link for the parking map is grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/wake/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/2011-12/misc_non_event/fbgameday-parking-map11.pdfMost of our parent seats and visitor seats purchased thru Gardner-Webb should be Section 11 which is endzone, east (visitors) side at the open end of the stadium closest to the General Parking. I believe that all color coded lots are either permit only or handicap so we are limited to General Parking across Deacon Blvd. Look forward to a big turnout for our group. Wear your red as WFU will be in black. Cool evening is forecast so for those cold natured folks, dress to stay warm. Let's take the fight to the Deacs. Go Running Bulldogs!

We will be getting in around 1:00. I can't believe they open the gates 8 hours before kickoff. I don't even think South Carolina opens the Fairgrounds until 5 hours before. Does anyone really believe that parking is going to be a problem. I can't imagine too many of the WF faithful showing up to see their boys get their butts kicked. Go Runnin' Bulldogs!

gwebb90to92 - No need to crawl under a rock, we look forward to meeting you in the future. When you get the chance to make it to a home game, you'll find our gang under the trees behind the visitors side at Spangler Stadium. We always have plenty of food and room for more Running Bulldogs. We'll see you soon!

Sans or with potato chips. Wake could be without Capanaro for Saturday, (hamstring), they will probably hold him out, taking GWU lightly. he made their offense move againts NC State. Wake struggled Sans Campanaro. NC made it a game with him on sidelines. Wake brought little pressure against Brennon and NC St. was able to come back in second half. GWU has to play 4 quarters to win. Wake is on an emotional roll. They are feeling it! Will likely take GWU lightly and play 2nd string earlier then they should. GWU will struggle just running on first and second down and throwing on 3rd. Need to mix it up and throw on 1st and 2nd to keep Wake honest. This game can be won but will take a complete effort with little or no mistakes. Cannot go into this game with a mentality of preparing for the Big South season and simply honing or learning the new offense, there will be plenty of time for that! Pull out the stops and see what happens. Quit being so predictable!
