I am new to the GWU family and looking into joining the Bulldog Club. I have been an active member with booster clubs at various universities and have found they vary widely in role and their level of activity. I am looking for any feedback on how active the Bulldog Club is (i.e., events, level of social activity and university support involvement, etc.) Just looking for any feedback from members to give some lay of the land. Thanks.

Unless the new AD has done anything different, it’s mediocre at best. I know they completely botched the execution for tickets for our first big dance appearance in 2019 that hacked off a lot of people. I left awhile ago, but when I donate to GW now, I’m specific with designation. Honestly I haven’t donated a dime at all for awhile due to Downs arrogance and alienation of the local community, especially the whole Larry Thomas deal.

Don't listen to the Negative Ned of the Board. He's a good guy but like Eeyore has trouble finding positives. The Bulldog Club is enjoying record enrolment and Wes Cogdil the new Director is a classmate of mine (2008) I used to be a member and still get the emails and they seem to be pretty active. I did not renew my membership because I don't need tickets to go cover games, but it is a great way to support GWU

I’ll be a “negative Ned” anytime if it means calling out Downs for his mistreatment of faculty and staff. Morale is at an all time low, comparable to the last days of Chris White. Just talk to any of them off the record and call me a liar.

I wouldn't mind joining the Bulldog Club. My father was a member for years, but when I called sometime ago they were hard to get ahold of and the info I received was minimal at best. But I have met Wes and he is a very nice guy real laid back and I hope he can get the Bulldog club energized. Downs I don't think was popular with a lot of people including my old man who couldn't stand him and I now see why
