It stinks that its in Nashville where local media can not attend. First one I have missed since 2008 and I was working in DC.

Valid Jake, but unfortunately the football footprint of this mega conference is Nashville. We miss out playing the favorite on the schedule this season as well. Our homecoming game with UT Martin could really have huge implications. We only finished a point ahead of them in 2nd.

Good thing is that the conference will probably be good for two bids if teams meet expectations.

I like the fact we get some competitive competition in this OVC-Big South Alliance but I wish we had some geographical rivals. I guess this is how College Football is and the landscape. But, we have no traditional rivals anymore other than Charleston Southern.

Since I'm here, I'm curious. How long do you guys believe this alliance will last?

Since I'm here, I'm curious. How long do you guys believe this alliance will last? Two years max? I think I can speak for the forum that most of us are hoping our new AD has a move to the SOCON in the works...

My thoughts too on the time-line. Not surprised about you all wanting to leave. I wouldn't mind seeing y'all in the OVC, but only if OVC commissioner could bring a few more schools closer to you and split the conference into divisions.
