Home opener and winnable. Wake backed off big time on them Thursday night. Deacs were up 27-0 and eased up. Take away a pick six and a FG with five seconds left in the game, and Elon got 7.
I want to see more downfield passing Saturday. Bubble screens only work for so long.

Looking forward to the home opener and seeing efforts against a usually solid Elon program.

I'm always up for a game against old foe Elon. Hope it's a good one--it certainly has the potential to be.

They’ll always be the Fightin’ Christians in my book. I’d like to see us hook up with them in hoops more often as well. It was a solid rivalry back in the SAC days.

Great drive to win, but disturbing we basically quit playing after we got up 27-13. Need to finish better.

Great drive to win, but disturbing we basically quit playing after we got up 27-13. Need to finish better. Overall a bit of a letdown from last week's performance. QB play and turnovers are still a big concern. The good news is they did not collapse and did what they needed in the end to win.

Fellas. I don’t post a lot because most of you are clueless. If you think beating Elon in any form or fashion is a let down. Never get on this board again or post again. They are a playoff team. We have caught lightning in a bottle with Trey Lamb. Enjoy it while you can.

The QB play last night was very encouraging. Not sure what game was being watched by the folks on here. Made good decisions, ran when he needed to. Strong effort overall. Only turnovers were a couple fumbles, both forced. Only one sack allowed. Major improvement against a bigger, stronger team. Took advantage of athleticism edge. Just a few plays here or there from beating a playoff team by three scores or more. Defense was stout against the run for most of the night and had five sacks. I’ll take it all day.

I like going for the kill shot, don’t let up until the clock reads 0:00. No such thing as running up the score.
