Inauspicious start, 9-5 loss. Fell behind 6-0 then 8-1 and didn’t recover.

I don’t think we’ll see any home games on ESPN+ until basketball season is over.
I want to know how much coin Upstate shelled out to host an SEC squad in a three game series to open the season.

Wild 15-11 loss today. It’s going to take awhile to see how good our pitching staff will be.
A&T 3-0 coming in Tuesday after sweeping their opening three game set from Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Hard to believe in 2024 that GW can't figure out a way to stream their games with a broadcaster when high schools all over the country are doing it and have been doing it for years. If nothing else, let the Journalism majors do it to give them experience that is hard to come by. Summer teams stream games. High schools stream games. But not a Division 1 baseball program?

Who says you need an announcer? Have someone run graphics and have a crowd or field mic and you’re set.

Rallied back and tied it at 2 in 8th then gave up a 7 spot in the top of the 9th and lost 9-2. Our pitching is unimpressive thus far.

Agreed on the crowd mic, that would help a lot. My argumeent is it just doesn't make sense one static camera with no noise is the best they can do. And giving some journalism majors the opportunity to announce games seems like a win on both fronts. As for the pitching, haven't seen a lot to feel great about to say the least.

Let me clear something up here period you don't need journalism majors broadcasting Journalism majors are Writers. You need broadcast majors. There is a difference

GW dropped its broadcasting major in 2003 or so when the one professor guy left to go to Elon correct? Vic something. Was good.
I do know espn+ isn’t letting anyone stream with a one camera setup. Maybe on Facebook or YouTube.

Lol ok then. I think we can agree Journalism is a Department. And under that department there are a number of specific majors...which does in fact inclucede Broadcasting. I would go even further as a former Broadcast Journalism major and say my degree actually reads as the "School of Journalism". I'm pretty sure you know the point I was trying to make though. With that said, I admittedly did not know the school didn't have Broadcast majors any longer so it's all a moot point.
I only started following GW baseball a year ago, so I have no desire to contribute negativity here. Rather, I was trying originally to simply ask if there was a way to watch the games I wasn't aware of. I actually think it's these seemingly small things that help build programs. I have a son who is committed to play at GW, and given we aren't local, that's why I was asking as we simply wanted to follow the team this season. Given the ease to provide fans and family a better stream option can only help. I agree with the last poster...maybe Facebook or YouTube? It would take a really really really small investment to provide this for fans of the program. I am aware of the AWRE Sports app which is better than nothing.
