Tough midweek tilt followed by LW coming in at 4-8 in a three way tie for 5th a full four games behind 4th place CSU. We’re playing for pride and 5th place at this point. The team is still competing at this point at least.

I somehow find a way to continue being amazed that another weekend series at home will have no streaming coverage.

I somehow find a way to continue being amazed that another weekend series at home will have no streaming coverage. They'll use the spring football game tomorrow night, which they have done zero promotion on, as an excuse. The brass are always full of blame and excuses and zero acceptance of responsibility. How daggone difficult is it to have two cameras cover a baseball game? Isn't there a requirement now to have them in place for instant replay? If so, that makes it worse, basically tells the public and recruits we can't afford to have one tech person flip a switch and monitor the feed for three hours. This is when part of me just says to hell with it and shitcan the whole operation and drop the whole thing to D3, but there are many D3 schools that are absolutely light years ahead of us right now at D1 level with promotions, fund raising for athletics, student/faculty interest, boosters, etc. It would be just as, if not more of an embarrassing, look for GW. Beating a dead horse, but this dates back all the way to Chris White getting so gung ho to move up to D1, and never thought about the cost of support staff that would be required to do so and to maintain even a skeleton athletic staff. GW has frankly never recovered from it, pushing uphill against an avalanche for over two decades now. Maybe we get the games against LW on ESPN+ after all, but the fact they aren't listed already if so is sad.

This is so perfectly said, on every point. Incidentally, I have a nephew who plays D3 baseball and a niece who plays D3 softball (in two different states from one another). Outside of a spring break trip to Arizona they have had every game fully streamed. I believe ALL of my nieces games have been streamed. It's a terrible look on GW's part, and there isn't really a justification for it. It seems hard to build a program when you can't make the time or effort to do the bare-bones things. As a parent of a son with an offer from GW, it screams pretty loudly the financial condition of the overall program. It's hard to be willing to take the risk with your own son thinking of the other places they aren't willing to invest in. And selfishly, hard to want your son to go to a school if you can't even watch him play. He does attend a relatively nice HS, but we haven't played a non-streamed game since he has been there. I didn't think playing at a D1 school this would ever arise as a concern.

It is nice to see some fight with virtually little left to play for being 4 out of the final berth with 9 left to play in conference. Conference needs to expand the format back since Covid is over.
