Some states had significantly higher rates.
The five worst states for teen unemployment (including the District of Columbia) were:
1) District of Columbia 48.3 percent
2) California 34.6 percent
3) Nevada 34.2 percent
4) North Carolina 33.3 percent
5) Missouri 33.1 percent
6) Washington 30.9 percent
