Probably the biggest weekend of the season starts today. Hopefully Coach and players realize that nothing less than a sweep, based on remaining conference schedule, will allow them to play in Lynchburg in May. Every inning is do or die starting today and solid decisions must be made by all to win every inning. Forget about mid-week games.

Edited my first erronous post to reflect Bewildered's concerns.
North leader Campbell 14-4 South leader Coastal 11-4
Next 6 best records:
Radford High Point Longwood Liberty PC GWU & CSU tied for 8th seed, GWU owns tie-breaker.

Go to the Big South tournament website. Only the division winners are seeded 1 & 2. After that it is best record regardless to division. so based on that scenario GW is currently tied with CSU for 8th but would get the nod based on head to head.

You're right, my apologies. We were given wrong info by someone at GW who should have known. OK, I agree with your first post 100%, so lets get out there and win all 3 this weekend!
GO RUNNIN' BULLDOGS!

Should sweep, UNCA is wretched.

And right on cue, we choke away a 7-6 loss in 13. DH Saturday. So much for building any momentum from the win over SC.
As far as the Big South goes, the reseeding shows yet again how stupid the leadership of the conference truly is. Reseed in baseball, but not in basketball? What a joke. Why GW isn't looking elsewhere is mind boggling.

gwebb you certainly can't blame the conference for what just happened tonight. If you can't win in the Big South this year why go anywhere else. Poor decision making and lack of fundamental execution in regulation play doomed this game. That pretty much sums up entire year.

Not blaming the conference for the loss, but the original topic was the conference tourney, and it is beyond obvious that Kallander is a mental midget, and couldn't manage a pee-wee football league correctly, much less a D-1 conference.

Remember that the coaches largely have the say in how the tournament is set up. However it is set up, they approved it.

We just crapped in our hat yet again. Led ECU 7-3 after 7, only to lose 9-7 in 10. Ugh.

I'm far from the anti-Rusty bandwagon, but the season has been very disappointing thus far.

In order to gain some momentum for the final weeks gonna have to make sound decisions in the dugout and execute at the plate in order to salvage a series win this weekend against a very much improved team. New coach there appears to be the real deal and an up and comer in the college ranks.

You guys are some of the biggest jokes of fans. "We are having a bad season... I think we should fire the coach and bring in someone new." Like, come on. I'll be the first to agree with the fact that many times GWU holds onto coaches for far too long after they either haven't won in a while or have issues off the field, but this is ridiculous.

We aren't having a bad season per se, we are having a disappointing season. We are far from needing a coaching change.
