In an absolutely ridiculous, improbable bottom of the 9th, trailing 6-2, we score 5 runs to win 7-6 over the Sea Chickens! A walk-off double was followed by as big a Dawg pile as you'll see as the Diamond Dogs secured a huge conference win. If we make the Tournament, that inning will certainly be remembered as a key moment in the season. Lets get a W Sat. and move one win closer to making the field!

Awesome win, down 6-0 heading to the bottom of the 8th too. We need to parlay this into a nice win streak.

Nice 10-2 thumping today to take the series. Big challenge next weekend at Campbell.

That was the best game we've played this season. We got a great start and 7 strong innings from Jr. lefty Erik Heiligenstat, we played focused, clean D the entire 9 innings, and we battled their pitchers every at bat, really made them work hard, and it paid off big time. First time we've won a series from CCU.
We have settled in at DH, and hopefully solved our catcher situation via So. Hunter Smith.
Still, we're right on the 'cut line' for a slot in the 8 team tournament, so we really need to win a least 1 at Campbell, then take care of business at PC 2 weeks later. This weekend's results should add some depth to the collective confidence going forward. I honestly would not trade rosters with Coastal. We're so much better than a 9-11 conference record might indicate; I hope they're starting to realize that now.

Let's get in the tourney and make some noise. Having it right down the road at WU this year is a plus for sure.
