A Pat Summit disciple. A damned strong pedigree indeed.
Upchuck slobbering all over Reeves one last time during the statement is classless. Reeves is history, thank goodness. The sooner Burch is history, the better.

When a coach "retires", which I take issue with using that phrase, its not uncommon for admin to make a statement like that

He is still coaching. He didn't retire. He didn't get his way and quit like a baby. Good riddance, hope he crashes and burns in Kentucky.
Would love for this young new coach to come in here and take us to the dance in a year or two and stick it nice and hard to Reeves and his fake brand of faith and coaching.

Cynthia Cooper @ UNCW, Dawn Staley @ USCarolina are examples of former players, with a rich pedigree both in college as well as the WNBA, mentored by great coaches, have had phenomenal success coaching in the college ranks. Not in any way trying to equate our new Head Coach with the aforemontioned stars, but this is a fantastic move!
I don't expect a miraculous surge to the top of the league in a season or two. Who knows. All I know is that I'm darned proud of the hire.
Great success Coach!!!
