Iv been waiting on approval to get into your board for 48+ hours. I am really surprised at how the majority of your fan base doesn't view us as even competitive. I think your base is putting too much stock into our early season performance. This team today is not the same team that played Elon. I do think you guys will be able to run the ball on us but my questions is will the Tribe D be able to hold our offense. Coach Lamb has shown the ability to have his team ready to perform offensively on the ground and through the air. We are probably one of few offenses in the nation that have had a 425+ passing yard game and a 425+ rushing yard game in the same season. I'm not sure what the deal is with the approval process. I think saying the majority of the Tribe board not thinking G-W will be competitive is a bit of a stretch. I read it as people picked the Tribe to win, as you might expect on a W&M board. Most comments I saw had G-W covering the +9.5 spread. A 1 to 2 score game sounds competitive to me.

One things W&M fans are not is cocky. We’ve been around, seen too much, for that. This years team though has a chemistry, everyone feels it. Best way to describe the fan base I think is cautiously optimistic.

The Tribe fan base has become confident in our team's ability. It started with the victory over Charlotte in which the team was clearly superior in all phases and accelerated with the win over Delaware when they were 5-0... ranked #6 and playing well. It's clear that GW has improved over the season which indicates good coaching and team chemistry. We've seen the same from the Tribe culminating with excellent performances against Villanova and Richmond. Our defense has been tested frequently and I'm sure will be tested again by GW. I expect a very physical game ultimately decided in the trenches.

Just realized between Pius and French you have 2 of the top 4 sack leaders in FCS playing in this game. Both have 11.5 sacks this season.

Fans really highlight certain stats. Congratulations on 400+ rushing yards on Limestone up by 4 TDs in the first quarter. W&M amassed 300+ rushing yards on a FBS and ranked FCS teams.

Lol this is a pretty bad reply. 405 rushing yard I was referring to was against EKU last week in round 1. Now to your credit the 400 yard passing game wasn’t against a FCS opponent that was FBS Coastal Carolina.

Just curious, i just noticed most of the tickets we reserve at Zable for visitors are now suddenly available for general sale. On the GW athletic website, I didn’t see any mention or access to buy tickets.
Is there any effort there to promote the game there? Seems a shame if not.

I'm on all the alumni email lists and haven't received one yet even mentioning the game. You can bet your sweet ass I'll get a fundraising one this month for sure, like every other. Part of the malaise is our former AD was stuck in an NAIA/D2 mindset and didn't do squat to promote anything, or do anything else constructive. Our new AD recently took over, but it will take him awhile to finally get our athletic department thinking and acting like one at D1 level should.

Only thing I find is a link for tickets next to the game listing on their schedule. No real effort to promote the game to GW fans.

There's been a social media push to promote the game, headed up by the president and the new AD. But, no, I haven't seen any mention of tickets.

Very respectful and informative posts, nice to see some real activity on the forum. That said, it's time for actual game predictions!
I have been so impressed with Coach Lamb's ability to devise effective game plans, especially on the O side, practically every game. Bordering on genius, IMO. We're going to need his best, along with the requisite in-game adjustments, to offset superior talent in the trenches that W&M possesses. But we won't be starry-eyed, this season has proven that.
When the dust settles, W&M will prevail, unfortunately, 38 - 31.

I give WM slight edge on defense and special teams. Assuming a neutral or +1 TO margin, I'll go with 34 -27 Tribe.

Very curious to see how the game plans play out. A lot of W&M confidence comes from watching us run the ball at will over all comers so far. A lot of the success G-W has enjoyed has come from shutting down running attacks all year. Which will it be? I think the Tribe will be able to run well enough that they can mix in QB keepers and play action to great effect and keep the sticks moving. I think G-W will be able to put together solid drives as well before the Tribe defense stiffens in the red zone giving up FGs rather than TDs. Winner of the TO battle wins the game. Tribe pulls it out 31-19
