By the way, presently Georgia State is slated to play Lambuth on November 5. We have an open date on Novenber 5. Maybe we could get them to make the trip to Boiling Springs???

Sign a home and home deal with them and have G-W go to the Georgia Dome next fall. It makes too much sense, so G-W will probably ignore the opportunity. GSU could probably void the contract with Lambuth for the game with ease anyway due to Lambuth's financial problems.

Ga state has 6 home games with the Lambuth game so it might just make sense for both schools to work out a home and home starting with a game in Boiling Springs next Nov 5th. We have ODU coming to G-Dubb in 2012 so Ga State in Atlanta works well with 2CAA games in 2012. We would have our 5 home games in 2011 with 2 money games (Ohio, Wake), a SOCON (Samford) and Brevard. That's an ok schedule by me.

Any truth to the rumor that G-W may be considering only playing ten games this fall?

I wonder if Dickerson would offer a job to his father?
It would be nice if G-W would get on the stick and get the schedule finished and released now that spring ball is over.

Sorry to jump on your board, but, I thought that I'd let you know that I hear Tennessee Tech and G-W are talking about a game this year. I think "we" split our two game series a few years ago.? TTU has an open date on 11/5 and 10/9 (I think). TECH only has 5 home games right now, so, I hope it would be in Cookeville this year, but I'm sure you guys want a home one as well. THANKS!

I thought TTU owed us a game. Didn't you back out of a game against us to play Kansas or some other Big 12 school? If it means a return game next year, G-W should bite the bullet and take a road game at TTU, Georgia State, Texas-San Antonio, whoever. We are bringing in ODU and perhaps Samford next year, adding another quality home game for 2012 would be nice.

I think you are right. I remember reading some irritated fans from G-W upset at TTU. But, don't blame me, I didn't do it! Plus, our new indoor practice facility and new weight room was financed in part by that game at Kansas St. (which was a lot of fun to go to, by the way) If that were true, I think it'd only be fair for TTU to travel, then or make it a 2-for-1 deal. I know G-W won in 2006 at home and TTU won at home in 2008.

As far as d2 cupcakes if you would schedule the good schools in D2 GW wouldn't be eating up on them thats for sure.Ask WCU how scheduling Tusculum,a team that wasn't even in the top half of their league, worked out last year. They paid them off not to come back this year. How about UNC PEMBROKE,a team that recruits almost entirely North Carolina. They would probably love a piece of GW.I notice the d2 schools that are scheduled are not really premier d2's .Brevard and Lambuth are really near the bottom of the D2 pile, so yes GW went after cupcakes, not the good schools.

I would love to see us schedule North Texas for the Nov 5th open date... It would fill one of their 2 open dates this season, and off-set our 2 weak (DII) non-conference opponents.
