Heard that there was several new coaches at GW today. Only name that I got was Dwayne "Billy" Ledford is the new OL coach. Comes from Tennessee State. [ Looks like a solid pickup. Have we ever had an OL coach with NFL experience? Go Runnin' Bulldogs!

Our new Chancellor is very serious about football and just upped our athletic budget by two million plus bucks and fired the old staff. Getting Rod Broadway to leave Grambling cost us $232,500 base pay for 5 years guaranteed plus incentives and perks and his coordinators will be making approximately little over 100K apiece. That's not pocket change for any FCS program. We don't know that much about Coach Pizzo. What can you tell us Aggies about him? Thanks guys www.bluedeathvalley.com/home.html

Pizzo did basically all the dirty work for Patton here in the last three years, HC material, solid offensive mind. Y'all got a good one.

What were his offenses and philsophy been like for you guys? It's been a huge problem for us. In college football these days, 13 years is a long time in one spot.

If my interpretation is correct, I sure hope that Mr. Pizzo doesn't share that level of ignorance or stupidity, if so his tenure in Aggieland will be short lived. There should be no tolerance for this type of attitude at A&T, G-WU or this website. Unfortunately there are people that still would choose to disparage others than provide a simple “good luck” to a former coach.

New N.C. A&T head football coach and former Grambling head man Rod Broadway has hired former Gardner Webb offensive coordinator Joe Pizzo as his new offensive coordinator. Good luck to Joe, but was he that desperate for a job he settled for a predominately black school? i'm a proud alumnus of historically black university, north carolina a&t state university. how dare you degrade our great university. pizzo's hiring as an assistant football coach at my alma mater "is not" a step down, sir. at worst, its a lateral move, but more likely an upgrade. a&t is one of the nation's leading producers of african-american engineers with bachelor's, master's and doctorate degrees. nasa is a major partner of our school of engineering. a&t is also the nation's top producer of minorities with degrees in science, mathematics, engineering and technology. our student enrollment is about 3 times greater than gardner webb's. a&t is a proud university who has an alum that made a historic run for the "presidency" of the united states of america and also an alum who is currently a united states "congressman" in the u.s. house of representatives. its the alma mater of ronald ervin mcnair, ph.d., a physicist and nasa astronaut who died during the launch of the space shuttle challenger on mission sts-51-l. we a&t aggies are not in the business of "degrading" other institutions, so i have nothing bad to say about gardner webb. its just unfortunate that you sir don't choose to do the same...

oldschoolaggie - GWebb1994 I'm certain will clarify his remarks although I seriously doubt that he meant to disparage NC A&T as an institution. Pizzo is no more desperate to go to a predominantly black state supported school than our new African-American HC Ron Dickerson, Jr. is to go to a predominantly white, Southern Baptist Private University. A&T has many things in their history to be proud of. Coach Broadway was mentioned as a potential candidate in our search for a new HC and I expect that he will help the Aggie program. You guys have suffered a while now on the gridiron but there is no reason why you guys can't improve to challenge S.C. State. I work for a Greensboro area engineering firm and have had the occasion to work on your campus and there are many positive things that are taking place there. Good luck to you guys and hopefully both of our programs will see the improvement our fan bases wish to see. The color of one's skin doesn't matter a whit once the whistle blows as black, white, hispanic, etc. all sweat, bleed, toil and work for the same goal which is to contribute to a team effort to win on Saturdays. I believe while we have a ways to go that we are much further down the road regarding race relations and that whether on the field or in our everyday lives that most all of us want the same things out of life.

I also doubt that he meant to singularly disparage NC A&T as an institution. His stupid question was meant to disparage all historically black institutions by suggesting that a coach would have to be desperate in order to "settle" for a job at such an institution. What an incredibly poor representation of your school, and I hope that's not the prevailing mentality there. You can spin it however you want, but I know you at least admit to yourself that that was a dumb, racist question.
