Whoa, the comment wasn't meant to demean NC A&T at all. Look at his resume before coming here to G-W, Pizzo could have ended up at a heckuva higher level than A&T, G-W, etc. Frankly I thought he would head into scouting of some sort, that is probably where our former HC Patton will end up if he doesn't outright retire from the game. Maybe instead of 'desperate' I should have used 'scrambling for a job' or something similar instead. If anyone was offended, I apologize.
However to you brandmasta, the question I posed may have been dumb, but racist? Give me a break. You can get off your high horse and put your race card back in your pocket for another time. Anyone who knows me or my family is laughing at you in hysterics right now. The next time you look in the mirror, check your hands and your feet. Here's a bulletin...if you don't have nail scars in both places, you aren't perfect either.
As for Pizzo's offense, it has mainly been spread oriented the past few years, but even before the spread became popular, he loved to chuck the ball all over the field. Hopefully y'all have a QB or two up in Greensboro that can throw the ball.

Sir,
I could write an epic novel in 5 volumes about my imperfections. And even then I'd have to leave blank pages in the back for daily additions. Your point?
You were the one that injected race into this discussion, not anyone else. We simply were interested in Pizzo offensive philosophy, and instead we got your offensive comments. You admit dumb, but not racist. If you truly believed your justification, why would your question even be dumb? Hmmmmm.....quit digging dude.
Thank you to the other G-W posters that offered insight into our new OC. We are glad to have him and look forward to seeing lots of points on the board this fall.

I had the pleasure of coaching Joe Pizzo in college in California. I am reading these previous comments about Joe being desperate as a reason to accept the OC job at NCA&T. Having known Joe for 30 years I can tell you that he was not desperate and would never have viewed the opportunity to coach at A&T as a demotion. Please do not lump him in with any ignorant remarks that have nothing to do with him. I assure you you will be very pleased with what he will bring to your program both on the field and off. Give him a little time and you will be watching the offense score a lot of points.
